About Islamorada
Islamorada is located directly in the middle of Miami on five islands—Tea Table Key, Lower Matecumbe Key, Upper Matecumbe Key, Windley Key, and Plantation Key—in the Florida Keys. With its position between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico, Islamorada is on migration routes for many large fish species which is why it is informally known as the Sportfishing Capital of the World. Islamorada hosts the largest fishing fleet per square mile in the world.
This village of six islands offers many renowned fishing spots which provide ample opportunities to catch a number of Florida sport fish. Some of the best backcountry fishing spots include Pickles Reef, Conch Reef, Eagle Wreck, Spiegel Grove, and the USCG Bibb.
